How does hypnosis work for Bad habits?

Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can help you break free from bad habits by changing the underlying neurological connections that drive a behavior of a bad habit. Our brains are wired to form habits, and once a habit is formed, it can be difficult to break. This is because habits are formed through a process known as neuroplasticity, which is the brain's ability to change and adapt in response to experiences.

Hypnosis works by helping create new neurological connections through the imagery of a new improved behavior, like a mental rehearsal and through positive suggestions for change. Words create a new perspective and frame of reference in the brain. It is akin to re-educating yourself about something. For a new habit building you are learning a step by step strategy for its implementation.

What type of habits can I overcome with hypnosis?

Almost any habit can be conquered with hypnosis. Here are some examples: nail biting, hair pulling, skin picking, smoking, drinking, overeating. You can also choose to build a completely new habit, by introducing a new set of ideas and suggestions surrounding a new habit narrative. Hypnosis can help you process the nature of a new habit deeper in the mind and make it your reality.

How many hypnosis sessions do I need to build a new habit?

Whether you want to overcome or a build a new habit, we recommend two sessions per issue. However, you start seeing the results after session one, especially if you follow up with some homework post session, like practicing some self-hypnosis techniques and listening to your original session recording.

Are sessions in person or via Zoom?

We offer hypnosis sessions in two formats - either through Zoom or in-person at our offices located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Due to Elena Mosaner's frequent travel schedule, most hypnosis sessions have been conducted online. We have found that online sessions can be just as successful as in-person sessions, particularly for the hypnosis portion of the session. As your eyes are closed during hypnosis, physical presence is not required, and you only need to listen.

Several times a year, Elena Mosaner conducts in-person sessions and workshops on self-hypnosis in New York City.

What are the fees for hypnosis therapy and weight management?

Our standard fee for a hypnosis session is $475 per hour. The first session is always one hour in duration, while follow-up sessions may vary in length from one hour to 45 minutes.

We understand that some individuals may have financial difficulties, and on occasion, we may be able to offer discounts to those in need. Please don't hesitate to let us know if this is the case.
